With the exception of the brackets..are the seat's for a 1000 and 1100 the same?
I have a corbin seat for my 76 which I won't be putting on it for a while..and the stock seat on my 1100 is a bit lacking in the firmness dept.
So before I remove it I thought I would check here first and possibly save myself some time and frustration. lol
seat question..

Re: seat question..
I modified the brackets and installed a Corbin 1000 seat on an 1100. It was one of the most comfortable rides I ever owned.

Re: seat question..
Exactly how did you modify the seat brackets? was there welding involved?

Re: seat question..
No welding, IIRC I had to lengthen the tongue that fits in the slot at the rear of the tank. I used a piece of appropriate sheet metal and pop riveted it to the original seat tongue. In this case a Corbin. I don't remember quite as clearly how I modified the rear brackets. I know I used a piece of 1" flat stock of appropriate length and simply drilled correctly sized holes to mount to both the seat and the seat mount bolt on the frame, what I am unclear about is how I mounted that piece to the seat. Once I determined the correct placement of the seat front to back I just tightened the bolt under the seat to keep that setting. I don't remember it being very difficult.

Re: seat question..
further sagebrush's post yes..the spacing between the holes on the corbin seat are different then the stock honda seat.
I mocked mine up but my back rest wouldn't work and the saddle bag lids were jammed against the seat to much for my liking so the stock one is back on her.
