Re: opinions of running versus non running
that was my thinking too...and that's how i got myself into this mess!doubleminded wrote: ↑Mon May 09, 2016 9:12 am My thinking is the second bike would be good for parts since many parts are hard to find now.
iirc i paid $3,500 for both? one was running - one was not. the bike that was running turned out to have been crashed and became the parts bike and that was years ago

Re: opinions of running versus non running
I have purchased four that ran & rode them home. of course they all needed "something" done to them; belts replaced obviously, or brakes, or fluids, et al.
I've paid as little as $100, and as much as $700 for non-runners.
IMHO, It all depends on what you're looking for, what you're willing to pay, & what you're expecting to get out of the deal.
is it obvious that non-runners should be less expensive than running & rideable bikes? because with some of the advertisements I've seen, it seems as if some sellers don't realize this. I've seen so many 1000s advertised as, "RARE" but from the description don't seem to be that special.
keep us updated.
