Red turn signal lenses

#1

Post by luludog »

I’ve got a set of red turn signal lenses. Swapped them out for amber ones on the ‘77 GW. They were originally on the rear of the bike when I got it. Are they legal, maybe hard to get, collectible? Just curious.
I’ll post a photo later.

They appear on some various older bikes, but they were aftermarket and added by the owners. I believe Federal rules required amber turn signals on all new vehicles after a certain point in time, but whether anybody would care now is a moot point.

I also have some I think from a bike I stripped years back. I am pretty sure they were installed as part of a aftermarket saddlebag set.

I believe red turn signal lenses are still legal in the US. I just don't understand why anyone would want them
