Does the recommended (by the forum) .006 valve lash for intake & exhaust apply for the 78/9 Gl1000 too?
1979 GL1000
1997 Honda Valkyrie
2018 Kawasaki Z900 RS
1975 CB750F (sold & dead)
1978 Gl1000 (sold & sleeping)

3-Spec cylinder compression <<<< that lash clearance increase recommendation is found in :oldies Topic's third paragraph ;)

viewtopic.php?t=63468&start=15 <<<< post#16 gives Nixon's reasons why the additional 0.002" lash clearance increase is beneficial.
Perform a cold engine cylinder compression test at 0.004" lash clearance, first.
Then reset the valves at 0.006" and perform a cold engine cylinder compression test, again. Surprised ;)
