I do not notice any handleing issues with the fairing, no front end wobble or lift. It does take the wind off my chest and the bottom half of my head (I am 5'7") so it really makes going any distance much more comfortable.

When Vetter got out, Honda had started putting farings on bikes and had the "hondaline" fairings for naked bikes. It really was that the market was changing. He also screwed up on his teraplane sidecar with a too weak top mount which caused some accidents. The market changes really are what "tanked" the company. None of the aftermarket frame mount fairings survived.

I recall hearing it was Bell as well, but their name was never on any vetter stuff.

ya that's what iv read as well ,once bike manufacturer started to see there was a real market for add on's they started to design and add them to they'er bikes straight from the factory ,that spelled the end of his Vetter line.but as for the dang Rooster i simply cant find anything on it ,iv even looked at a Bell website that list a time line of they'er history but it dosn't say anything about the Vetter fairing,as in the year they took over the Vetter line. I tell ya its bin very frustrating to say the lest.

But if i may add yours is the String,a smaller lighter desine then the Rooster, and yours is a larger bike then mine as mine is a 200 Twinstar so one thing id like to find out what size bike was the Rooster designed for ? so needless to say i have a few questions id like to know before i go to all the work ill be to make the change..

(Ha i love this little guy , :crosso wish i could use him elsewhere ,)
