Went and picked up an 84 interstate last night. At a toss up on should I use my parts to fix this one or use this one to fix mine. Time to get out to the shop to get a game plan going!

Looks to me like you may be half a dozen for one, and 6 of the other….I personally would look at fix up which ever one has a title, and pick the best parts from the two to make one the way you want it.

They both have clear titles but yes that's the plan is to take to two to make one between the two I should have everything for a complete bike then still have a title for the other one to maybe piece together a second eventually

I personally would hone the cylinders on the bad engine, and reinstall the heads….

Wingrider, I do plan on keeping the motor and trying my hand at getting it repaired eventually
This bad boy came in the mail today!

Got the front end off and started cleaning up the frame. Deleted the center stand. Done for the night. Here's to a blank canvas.

Fiddling with the tank cover I really love the louvers molded in and I've only seen one other bike with them molded in like that, from what I've seen.. that may be wrong I'm sure others have thought and gone through with it. I'm no master of anything that's for sure but with a little trial and error I will achieve what I want. This is my first ever bike build but I've wrenched on many things since I could hold a wrench. Just gotta beat my a.d.d. and actually finish something and this bike has sat far too long to keep being neglected. So I'll keep pushing on in my little shed to get some things done! Thanks everyone that has given me advice I really do appreciate all the wisdom given and all the information I've gathered from this forum. Sorry for the long post but thanks!!

Due to some health issues progress has been pretty slow but I got my cheapo bars and controls in so I did a little mock up, match my shocks perfectly, I'll do a version 2.0 when I can afford super nice parts but right now if it works I'm gonna send it! Smoothing out and repairing some rust damage on the aspencades frame center stand delete. It's gonna be my unicorn one day and the interstate will be a running mock up and test bike for the aspencade.
