Might as well rebuild the heads you have. Most any used one's will need the same thing.

hey guys, now that Orange Crush is just done and wrapped up for the winter, it's time to start plugging away on the GULFWING

Some random parts I blasted before my sand blaster gun nozzle quit on me,

The frame was taken down to the media blaster and removed of her clothing. Then the frame was etch primed and sealed so she wouldnt rust while waiting for gusseting.

Thge frame has now been gusseted. Looks like someone installed a right side kickstand or something. That mount was removed and the bolt hole was welded up. Just some putty needed in a few spots and hopefully I'll have the frame painted this week.

Progress....

Frame is painted.

The Moron that installed the vetter fairing brackets put them on so darn tight then dented the frame.

After the bodywork was done and a coat of wash primer was applied. I made up some tinted sealer and sealed the frame
Image

Then the lighter GulfOilBlau was applied. Got to use the fancy Glasurit paint on this bike...
Image

Then 3 coats of clear

And then I started on the shelter. Just like Orange Crush, the GulfWing will feature a smooth sided, 1 piece fused shelter, and mono-door.

As always, more to come.

Shelter getting fused together. still needs finish putty work.

So instead of doing a smooth sided shelter, i decided to go in a different direction.

The right side shape has pretty much been finalized. Honda emblem mounting holes have been filled. Tomorrow I'll start on the left side, and then do any finish putty work before moving onto welding up the mono door.

Stir that polyester.
Love the design and great work straightening the little dip in the third picture.
Looking forward to seeing this progress.

thanks Norbert.

Wasnt able to work on the shelter today. had to clean out one of my service carts. Going to be trading it in for a Bigger Custom colored Matco cart to have at the house just for doing bikes.

Tomorrow I'm gonna get crackin on the left side of the shelter. Hopefully by the end of the week I'll have the Mono door done and can start tightening up the door gaps and get her ready for first prime.
