Satisfying, isn't it?

Certainly is satisfying

Got started on the timing belts
Belt tension pulley's were a little noisy
A little pricey but worth the peace of mind
Ordered a couple off partzilla
I live close to the border and save a lot by shipping to Niagara Falls New York

You've already ordered, but for future reference check into building your own. Proper sized bearings are available on Amazon, and the rest is pretty easy using the old arms.

Thanks for the info
I am going to have a go at rebuilding the pulley's
It is easy enough to return the parts I ordered

Here is mine after rebuild. Sorry, I don't have the part #s. There are threads and pdf instructions on the various methods. I cut down bolts on my 7x11 mini lathe to fit where the original spindles had been in the brackets.

It was pretty ugly in there when I started.

Thanks
This is the type of project that keeps me out of my wife's hair during a long cold Canadian winter :)

That second pic looks like your bike was standing in water
No sense in using old rad hose

And thus, her name "the Hunley" (I was a submariner in the 70's).

I enjoy the luster of polished aluminum way more than the flashy brilliance of chrome. Well worth the elbow grease.

Nice! This is always the best part! Do you already have the color decided? Any line designs to put down?
