Jonathon,
So I think robin1731 means the corners that I've marked in the attached photo. It they are radiused, there's less chance of them developing cracks over a period of time with the vibrations from road use.
cheers

Here in Winnipeg, Canada, they use photo radar to catch speeders or red light violations. I had a similar setup (first photo) and was told to change it. It was a bit skyward, but easily readable from the back from stationary cameras which are 7-8’ in the air, but mobile units cameras are on the front number of cars, so it probably wasn’t able to be captured.
It might be worth the trouble to inquire of legalities. I fixed mine, went to court with the revision photos and they waived the fine.

Do those rear shocks work normally when they are angled forward like that ?

Thanks mate that makes perfect sense, I'll have to try and add something for stability as I would need to remake to hole the thing to get radiused on those strips.

Gord,
I often think the same thing everytime I see the shocks on my Indian scout, they lean way forward.
And they are factory.
With my numb butt, I would not know the difference.

Ideally they would be angled at the same angle as the swing arm. Anything else is a compromise. Anywhere on the arc of the swingarm
would be the best

Looks good. I do have one thing to point out. The area that you cut out. Where the bend is. It would be better to make the inside corners with a radius. Less potential for cracking that way. When doing work like that I drill a hole, maybe 1/4", at each corner and then cut to that.
.
Thanks for the advise mate you were spot on so I've welded some edges on those sections. It worked out really well as they made a channel to hide the indicator and licence plate light cables
Thanks again mate.
