Hello Folks;
I took my Wing out for its first ride of the season, a quick 60 miles or so, but I will be riding it to work tomorrow. I have always said there is nothing like 'medicinal motorcycles' to make one feel better. My right hand and its carpal tunnel condition was very comfortable controlling the beast, no numbness or tingling at all.
Gary, isn't it fun to ride with your son? That even rhymes !

first ride of the season
She's looking buff and beautiful, Mike!
Yes, it's a lovely thing to ride with my son - it was a great day. I see Sat and Sun are supposed to be rain-free. Any chance Barrie or your BIL would be going out for a spin?

Hi Gary;
Barrie is off the family radar, he has met this girl and she has taken over his life. We don't see him too much any more. As far as Tim goes, we think he has given up on his Wing after all the work we have put into it.
But, we will be in Derby VT this weekend as Bernice's grandson is racing motocross at Rider Hill. We are taking the 5th wheel and truck for the weekend and staying at the Charbo campground. We'll be there around noon on Saturday and staying over until Monday morning.

Replaced a lead/acid battery. It was maintained on a battery tender all winter and cells were full, 12.4 v, but just wouldn't start the bike. Maybe a bad cell(or two). I replaced it with a lithium battery. Ouch...put a serious dent in the beer money. It's the first lithium I've ever used, so this will be an experiment.

Removed front engine cover and water pump on red '84. Cleaned and painted parts so I can reassemble tomorrow. Ordered replacement radiator which looked much better than original. Water pump was definitely on its way out. It doesn't look like this one will be ready for our trip to Milwaukee on the 27th unless the radiator arrives quickly.

If I might be bold where and how much for the rad, over here in the UK I got a quote for a new core at £500.00 bit excessive I thought. And there are no new radiators for the GL1000 anyway, not from Honda.

What!!! OMG that is cheap, I need to test mine as it wasn't leaking when I took it off it was full, but I need to back flush it, try and unbend the fins (they all get that) and the paint it, so I may just get another as a backup. well worth it at that price. Almost a

gift.

PS where from?

Installed water pump, front cover, oil filter, etc. on the red '84. Started buffing timing belt covers while I wait for the radiator. This one has about 44,000 miles and starts and runs excellent, but unfortunately, when I bought my Black '84 I told Paulette I would sell it. I'd like to get at least some time on it before that.

Installed some spanky new Plug caps and wires... No more weak spark and fouled plugs.

Messin with carbs while I wait for it to get all the way up to 50 outside so I can play in the sunshine. The float needles are fine and the seats are OEM, but no intake screens

This is the third carb set in a row I've had on the bench with good cleanliness but ruined O Rings. I've got a Randakk set so they are being replaced anyway
