Lots going on in my life right now, but not much on the Benelli. The cylinder is being bored out. Most of the things that I have yet to do require that the engine be complete and back in the frame. I did however order new rubber for the foot pegs. They are not exactly original, but they look great. Updates as they occur.

I stumbled across this fun thread looking for Benelli info. I just inherited a bike nearly identical to this one that has been a very nostalgic family heirloom and I'd like to get this bike cleaned up, shined up, and running. Did you ever finish this project?

So, no I never did finish this project. I learned something important on it though. If you are not really excited about a project to start, DONT START! I never really cared about the Benelli. It just was not me. So after sitting in the basement for 4 years untouched I put it on CL. Got a guy coming from Michigan to take her away this morning. He has another one just like this, except blue. Sounds like the perfect guy for the Benelli. I guess he had one as a kid. So anyway, alls well that ends well. Here is a picture as she stands now.

Did they not have erector sets across the pond? A set of metal parts gears motors etc that could be asssembled in many different ways. Good wholesome fun for young kids. I loved mine.
