Yeah, a bit sad actually...I don't know if he was making it up or not, but he told me that after a year or two of disassembling the bikes he became clinically depressed and at one point locked himself in one of the parts outbuildings for a week...the friend looked after him for a year or more...

I guess that's why the wife wants the stuff gone...and the husband doesn't want to part with the stuff.

I tried telling them he could select a bunch of it to keep and tinker with...but then they got agitated, inferring they wouldn't be welcome in my warehouse.

Which of course...they wouldn't be. But I wasn't going to tell the freaks that while on their rural compound, outnumbered. :)

I was giving the details to a business friend today and stopped me at one point and said "Hold it...is that the stuff over near Bible Hill?" ...and I said...yeah...turns out these kooks have been luring city folks in to "buy" their stuff for years, but they never actually sell it.

I wonder how many wanna-be eBay parts sellers they have in their freezers??

Say....anyone in the business wanna buy a domain name?

I have two.....and I guess I don't need em...

Here's a funny update...those barns full of parts are being advertised again.

The funny part?

I contacted them again!

Arrrrgh....!

It must be viral or genetic...the need for mass quantities of old japanese bike parts.

Is there a cure?

if ypou are dooing it to make money you will make more by putting in a little OT at your real job.

I take home broken stuff from work all the time and my FishWife sells it on ebay
After carefully describing it, taking many pics and fielding questions from prospective buyers she barely makes enough $$ to be worth the time... this is on stuff I get for FREE Not stuff I had to buy.
