A last and only one post for this year, not as I expected!
18 days after my previouse post I ended up in a car accident 13 November 2011, nothing too major but the MRR revealed 5 rib fracture and hip damage. It took a few months for recovery toget back to work.
Rest of the year I spent training my doughters for driving license.
Whatever, new opportunities will come 2013, so a Happy New Year to all of you GL1000 lovers!

Wow, serious stuff. Hope you are fully rehabilitated. Good to have you back.
Frame powder coated, lots of updated chrome parts, engine running, so fill us in on your punch list that still remains.

Awful dog face removed as my avatar can’t imagine how it ended up in my profile
Don’t know if that is a threat for people like me to be more frequent to post, feel guilty
Replaced with some representing colors shaped as viking helmet!
Hope to compensate you by adding some new pictures.
Not anything that is ready but just to get a look on how my head lamp shell bought in US on AMA swap meet (nice memories) will look.

Hi all,
Heard we will get your big boss over here soon
Better I show some progress then....
Lately I have started preparations to get parts repainted, but first I has to “Strip all” old rust and paint off.
I have prepared a chemical bath to dip all parts into overnight in mild heated temperature (here shown to 68ºC = 154.40ºF). Therefore have I build some isolation around my tank and due to the heat vaporization and need it to be covered.
The after 24h you can take it out clean it by wash it of with water, dried it with a hair drier

Well, actually painted this last late summer and are trying to catch-up on the posting break.
It was a year ago in August when the black paint came on in not optimal conditions and probably need to be re-coated. The surface is not lean enough that can probably be clear coated.
