took these bars off mt cb750,i think they are triumph bonny 750 special bars. they were too narrow for the honda clamps, and i wanted taller bars,so a 2" height,2" width extension slug was welded in and blended. bars will be black to match the goldwing.

i took a 3/4' tube and cut it 5" long. slit it lengthwise like a rollpin. insert it in a 2" section of 7/8" handlebar cut off an old set. you have a slug. when welding, chamfer the edges to be joined, leave 1/16" space, this makes the penetration full.

I did similar to lengthen the ends of my bars. I had a machine shop make me them.

theres no need. use some old 7/8" bars.a pipe cutter makes a good square cut.

i've been trying to find time for the wing.first 2 pics are plates that bolt to forklegs.it will be a forkbrace and fender mount.last 2 pics are the headlight mount, where i drilled a hole, pressed in an automotive freeze plug, and brazed it in.this makes a recessed hole for the allen bolts that screw into the headlight.

So I was done without a welder. My boss on 3rd shift told me I can use the one at work if I come in early.so...heres a fork brace I made for my '77 wing. It won't slip between the fork legs with both loops welded on,so the rear is bolted in.brace/fender mounted has 1/8" clearance to fender per side. Fiberglass fender has grommets in it so it slides in perfect, taking up the 1/8".
