Hi, after a checkin' weekend, I've fond thet TEMP and FUEL indicators doesn't works. I've check fuses and all are OK.I've check fuel gauge and seems Ok too. I've read somewhere in this forum that bouth indicators are managed by a 7V regulator: I've tried to find it with no luck. Can that be the cause indicators doesn't works? When I started the bike for the first time, they were nicely working, so I'm completly lost

Can someone be so kind of showing me the way to follow?
Thanks

Hola Bandido
Here's where you'll find it:
and here's how it's set up, and how to check it.
Maybe first check if the connections as seen on
the top diagram are OK:
battery to regulator: W/R (White / Red wire)
and
regulator to gauges: G/Bk (Green / Black wire)
and
ground: G (Green wire)
Hope this helps

Hola Bandido
In that other thread you said
Hey Octano,
I've check regulator with a test lamp for now and I got light, so I think is working as the lamp shines not a bright as if I got 12V. Is that way right for testing or I will need to find a volt-ohmeter?
It's OK to do it that way. Now you know it IS working
and
'not as bright as if I got 12V' ...probably means that it delivers the 7 V.
And at simple sight, connections seems to be OK.
But you talk about wires comming from the bottom of the reg. and it have just 3 connections on the front, as described on the Claymer
I don't quite understand what you say.-(
There is 3 "metal things" at the bottom of the reg.
that you can see when you pull off
the connector/plug. (the white plastic-thing in the photo of your bike)
The connector/plug has 3 wires:
1)...battery to regulator: W/R (White / Red wire)
and
2)...regulator to gauges: G/Bk (Green / Black wire)
and
3)...ground: G (Green wire)
I hope this helps.

Hi again,
Finallly I got a working 7V regulator.I have install it and gauges works fine, but after a short time,( 3-5 min.) gauges fail again. I check the reg.and found it burning. The rectifier was burning too. After that, the batery seems dead and have not enough power to move the starter.I put tha batery charger for 10' and the starter works again.Any idea?
Thanks
