It just looks like trash!

Now that Matilda is on the road, I needed a new project. Being a glutton for punishment, I drove to Houston yesterday and bought another basket case. --Yes, I know, I have been here before. Dragon Wing started like this. But this time I plan to attempt my own painting and a few other tasks previously farmed out in the interest of doing it right.
This is a '75 with most of her parts accounted for (even if most are unusable!). The PO (the last one) rounded up several items like a new OEM water pump and a Randakk carb kit and video etc. The engine has been cleaned up a bit but will need a lot more before it is ready to paint.
I'm not quite sure where I am going with this. If it were in better condition I probably would try to restore it to more or less original. But I think that will be too costly considering the condition of the fenders, chrome, etc. I think I will just get the engine and frame looking good and see where that leads. I wanted a bike with spokes so I am pretty sure I will attempt to re-lace the original wheels.
The forks need a lot of work and I have a set of 81 forks (that also need work) but it looks like the conversion might be more trouble than it is worth. --Would I be able to retain the spoke wheels?
Well, enough soul searching, on to the pictures:
