How To Use The Kick Starter

The Kick Starter Tool Is Stored In The Right Side Of The Pod/Faux Tank Behind The Side Cover Next To The Overflow Bottle
Looks Like So....
On The Rear Left Side Of The Motor Behind The Stator/Altenator Is The Kick Starter It's Self....
Remove The Rubber Dust Cover
Tool Goes In Here
Has A Flat Spot So It Won't Roll Left To Right...
Just Step Down

What year you got, Les? I believe it was only the '75 that had the kick starter.

Nope. My '76 is s'possed to have one. At least it's got the rubber covered port by the generator anyway.

What year is your bike? Mother Honda felt that there was no real need for the auxilary kick start, & dropped it with the 78 model..

is the kickstarter working? I was thinking of keeping it as a permanent starter(since I like kick starters soooo very much),and drop the electric starter.

It All Depends On The Running Condition Of Your Bike... I've Seen Some That It Never Wored On At All, Like My 75, Low Compression, And Some That It Works Every Time, Like My 76....

Is the lever supposed to spring back up? Mine is quite difficult to depress then I have to pull it back up. It starts, but groans as I lift the lever back up.

No Spring, Or Kick Back, You Should Have To Lift It Back Up, Thats Normal, A Well Graesed Bike Will Return To The Top, But Not With Any Presure
