Early Wing Mirrors

#1

Post by Fred Camper »

When I went over the bar after a lowside on my LTD, I took out the mirror.

The part number for the early wing mirrors appears to be

88100-371-660 right
88120-371-660 left

When I check the dealers, the mirror is not available under that number.

New number per Honda is listed as
88110-333-611 right
88120-333-611 left

These are available, but I do not know if they match the OEM mirror. I plan to replace the right and left, but I would like to keep the LTD as stock as possible and can seek used if the Honda new number does not match.

Hope someone can let me know if they are a match for the 1976 LTD and 1977 wings.

Only way I know of to tell is to make sure the dealer will take them back if they don't look right to you. You have the originals right? Take one with you when your order comes in.

Jeff, 333 is the model code for the CB350, the original number being 88110-333-004. This was apparently the mirror that was fitted to the standard Wing 75-77 on the right, 88210 on the left.
Then I thought.......some parts brought in on the LTD might have been carried on to the later model
Hmmm........... -304-621, -323-610, -333-610, -371-660, -371-650 depending on where in the world the bike was going to!

Anyway, it looks like they have all been superceded by -333-611 as of now, so it's either them or if they are not a match you'll need to hunt up used ones.

Its funny isnt it ! :happy_251: Well i think so when you go into a dealership and ask for a part from a 70's bike (3 time with show and explain) and you get that look of OMG   "its a 2 headed ET".... I really hate going to over the counter service.... OK, I know its probably just me. But im really thankfull for Ebay and MC forums.....

Well now, is it the 70s bike parts request, or the requester, that is causing the consternation ??? :-?

I think photo proof of NOT being a two headed alien is required, before the poor counter clerks get slagged off. :flamer

I always have a great experience at the local Honda dealer. But then I buy a lot of parts there. He is also the Harley dealer and I've bought 3 bikes from them. Usually I have to go behind the counter and look at the parts fiche but we always get the right part. And only a couple of dollars more than eBay or online dealers considering they don't charge me for shipping and returns are no problem. Order the part on Saturday and it's at the shop on Tuesday ready for me to pick up.
