Custom seats

Hi,
new to the forum. I want to replace the seat on my gl1000, as it looks awful
What's everyone using (not stock)?

Anyone knows a fabricator who sells online good products?

Welcome to the forum Ric! There are a few choices for these old girls...Corbin is a popular company, they have a couple options, and there are some companies out of places like Vietnam that sell seats that fit. Not sure on quality or comfort on those.

If you want to have a little different look, you can add a flat tracker seat from hotwingglass.com, or some take a Harley Sportster seat and modify it to fit, while others take a Triumph Speed triple seat and modify that to fit.

Other folks have had great luck taking thier King and Queen seat and reshaping it to suit thier fit, and then have a local person recover it.

So, quite a few options, just have to know the look you want!

This is basically what I'm looking for, flat and long seat, need to find which fabricator did it

I decided that for this bike I will just buy direct fit parts, have another big (well, much bigger A 1987 Chevy G30) project that is taking quite a lot of time and headaches that I can't mess also with the GL.
At least for the summer. Winter here in Norway is cold, dark and long, so there will be a lot of time than...

While I can't be certain, I'd almost bet that seat you posted is a custom job...

Take the pic of that seat to any upholsterer and they could probably make it for you with your stock pan. Buy that exact seat that Sugs links to and you have $300 in it.

A bit pricey but I think it's the biggest change to the motorcycle, I just wrote to them
