New NGWCLUB Email name

When we moved to a new server our email got a new name. Make sure to add

newngw@vps2.ngwclub.com EDIT: postmaster@ngwclub.com (As of 3.27.17 roncar)

to your safe senders list or your emails from NGW could end up in your spam folder

1. Email is still an issue. Several ISP's are blocking our server emails (att, verizon, hotmail, prodigy, etc.) The ones that are accepting our emails "MAY" be sending the new domain name to spam. If NGW emails are there, marking them as "not spam" should allow them to go to your inbox.

2. The site is now secured with an SSL certificate. What this means is,
2a. ngwclub now uses the https: protocol (vs the http:)
2b. this encrypts your input (ie. username and password) before transmission to the site.
2c. Without, the latest Firefox gives a warning at the login box telling you that the connection is unsecured.

2d. NO other forum (that I frequent) currently has an SSL conection.
2e. Other issues have cropped up in the backend and I don't know if it's SSL related or not, yet.
2f. Bookmarks to the site may or may not need updated to the new url, ie. https://ngwclub.com .

3. Please use the "contact us" (bottom of every forum page) to notify us of any issues you see with the site.

Site login no longer being saved.

I noticed in the last couple of days that I have to login each time. Never had to do this. Yes, I did click the "remember me" button when logging in.

Another user wrote

I was able to correct the issue by storing the new server web page, rather than the old stored server page that was in my systems. It now loads and opens with me still logged in and not needing to re enter my information every time.

This should be a one time thing on each of your devices (until next time. )

Been a busy weekend.
1. updated the forum software in preparation for the next version upgrade.
2. Corrected several server errors that were referencing the old server.
3. ReCaptcha2 died so removed it for now.
4. Search function broke in HTTP URL's. Set up redirects to force HTTPS regardless of how you log in.
5. NGW store broke. Changed configuration to work in HTTPS
6. Edited email parameters with all authentication/security measures available.

Email looks a lot better but we are still BLOCKED (ie NO email delivery) on several email servers. These include: (but not limited to)
hotmail
live
verizon
att
ameritech
sbcglobal
prodigy

So unless something else crops up, getting 'white listed' on these email providers is our last hurdle.

Well the store was fixed, but found we needed to install a module in the OS for the link to paypal to work. Think it's fixed now.

OK Hotmail is fixed but may take a day or two to get through their system.

So we have not had a rejected Email in about 12 hours now. I think Roncar's tweaks bringing spam prevention programs on line have done more for us than my emails to the various companies involved but right now things are looking much better.

So If you have emails for PM or thread watch notifications etc. that you feel are not being sent or are not coming through to you please let me know. Either here or via PM is fine.

We are still chasing a few loose ends.
