1200 thermostat-crossover part?

#1

Post by ericheath »

Looking for a number for a 1200 thermostat. Lots of numbers in the cross reference link, but none state for a 1200. Does anyone know if they all interchange?
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

On page 9 or ten in the crossover parts list, I did find some numbers that will work. Checking Honda parts fiche, the 1200 has a different part number than 1000/1100's.

The correct thermostat is STANT # 13958
It is slightly larger on the OD from the 1000/1100
Mine came with a brass rivited check valve on the plate . I just cut it off with a side cutter.
Make sure to mount it with this small bleed hole on top .
The spring side goes toward the engine ( toward the back of the bike )
