I have one but haven't used it yet.
It's getting so I don't need a snowmobile suit to work in the garage and I want to clean the carb on my roadstar.
Question is..what "recipe" do you folks use as far as time and heat?
I have the aluminum compatible aircraft cleaning solution.

First, soak a bit in acetone to remove gum and varnish. Then, use water with a bit of your favorite surfactent. I use a product made for cleaning lab-ware - Micro 90 - just a small amount! That is to allow the water to "wet" the surface and do its job. I generally use hot tap water and set the heater to 55C then run in 1/2 hour increments until I'm satisfied. DON'T let hard metals rest on soft metals! Really, don't let any parts rest on other parts, and if you don't want to develop holes in your cleaner tank, always suspend parts or put them in a secondary container.

tks pd. my plan was to do the body of the carb and possibly the float bowl then any small parts in a zip log bag with the water/cleaner.
I haven't got it off the bike yet so I have no idea how bad it is or if it needs to be cleaned at all but I need to start educating myself on the ultrasonic..
