Can’t speak to Progressive, but I ended up getting washers that just fit over the step of the shock mount, and then shaved the outside diameter of the washer to match the flow of the next washer in place. Might be something to consider.

It is starting to take form.
That is a real cheap Sportster plastic rear fender from ebay/china. Trimmed the hell out of it with the angle grinder ;) it looks horrible irl. But will do for now, atleast I have a template now.

Lot's of faffin' around with the clutch cable, this will probably be the final routing.

Still waiting on my new grips, won't be drilling the handlebars until they arrive. And they will probably arrive next week and of course I will be working the entire weekend so I can't be in the garage at all....

There were two washers per damper in the package, not sure if they included too thin washers or what’s up with it. It’s definitely too loose now. Manual says 0.02” of tolerance per side but I got almost 0.2”.

Your figure 3 is where I put the larger washers in, and then shaved the OD of the washer to closely match the shock. They clear the “step” in the shock mount.

Busy couple of days. Made some sweet progress.
Got me some new "Honda red" brake hoses ;) there is no air in the forks atm so it sits quite a bit lower than normal. I haven't had time to replace them springs with progressives.
Thinking of also replacing the hose from the splitter to the master with a red one but we'll see.

Wired up the handlebar buttons and installed my $20 grips

Had to take the old gal outside, I replaced the thermostat and aired out the coolant with the motor on.

Here's a short vid of me starting the bike with the new controls.
Long press = start motor
double press = ignition off

Replaced the background illumination and the oil pressure warning light in the instrument cluster with red led's.
These are the bulbs that sat in there, impressive that all of them worked in that condition!

Hello,
nice Work. I like the look of your Wing.

Ha ha, the light bulbs must have dimmed a bit.

Greetings Harald

Couldn't wait any longer. Had to take her out for a ride and it was amazing.
And a balming +6C(43F) ;) but the sun was shining and almost no wind.

Still have a lot of stuff to do like replacing the hoses from the air filter box and coolant reservoir. Polish all plastic and metall.
Get the front fender to a paint shop, maybe also the faux tank. But it runs like a dream for now ;)

And most important, extending all cables from the headset so that I can relocate the connectors inside the faux tank.
