I am posting this to show you how easy it is to build a simple stand to work on your carbs. Since I made the Visual Float Gauge Tool Set, I figured there would be people looking to use the clear tube method to set the floats. It makes it much easier if you have the carbs on a stand so you can easily drain the bowls and examine the floats. You probably have scrap wood and other junk items around your house, so use your creativity and make a stand. I didn't need another stand, but I made this one in one hour with junk just to give you some ideas. I am sure you can come up with something better. The top part will swivel on this one which is helpful. You could screw it down on a table and screw a cheap electronic fuel pump onto it too. On my other stand, I have a $15.00 electric fuel pump that works great for testing purposes. It doesn't have to be fancy to get the job done. Notice the beautiful top part. The foam/plastic part is from a furniture slide. You know, the things you place under furniture to make it easy to slide the item on carpet. The uneven bottom of the plenum sits nicely on the dense foam which helps the stability. Total cost to build...$0.00

Here is the fuel pump I use on my carb stand. I bought two of these, one for the engine stand and one for the carb stand. This pump is actually pretty good, but it isn't going to win any beauty contests. Perfect for your carb stand and it only costs $7.99.
