I Sold My ST1300

#1

Post by Mike-C »

Good Evening Folks;
I have sold my ST1300, too heavy and the C/G was too high. I have replaced it with a, gasp !!, a BMW R1150R Rockster . Stay tuned for BM stories ! And once again my friend Ian supplied his trailer and Toyota RAV 4 as my Dodge Cummins is still under winter hibernation.
Anybody out there into oil head BMW's?

Sporty!

I sold my ST1300 as well. It never really thrilled me although the power was impressive.
It was a commuter primarily, since it had long range and good mpg.

I think you'll enjoy the BMW. I talk to a lot of riders in my travels and most if not all of the BMW riders speak highly of them (a few were downright fanatics).

I own a 2013 90th Anniversary R1200RT BMW and it is an incredible motorcycle. Best all around motorcycle I have ever owned.

Gents;
That is what everybody says, nice bike BUT . . With my two rebuilt shoulders I was always in fear of dropping it, but I sure loved the power. So another chapter closes and another one opens. Stay tuned . .

Gord,
It is all about centre of gravity and seat height. But power is good, always good.

I totally agree with you! When I had my Gixxer 711, that was one was meant to ride at 100 mph minimum, so it was uncomfortable at low speeds. Where as my CX500 would only do a little over 100, and it was a blast at that speed.
