750 all day long. The 360 does not have the resale that the old 350 does. Who knows why but that is what it is around here. Pre 1978 750 is the best.

Another vote for the 750. It's a decent sized bike, and will do pretty much anything you want it to, but feels light compared to a GL1000. Parts are fairly easy to get as well, and even "unobtainable" parts have pretty good aftermarket/reproduction support (if a bit pricey). I love mine, even though I haven't gotten a lot of road time on it yet. And dead simple to work on compared to a 1000- it's like night and day.
And it just looks classy as all get out.

I'm leaning towards the 750, forgot it will need the stock airbox back on and rejetted.

+1 on the CB750. Have been watching for one but there aren't any to be found at a reasonable price within driving distance. I am thinking if you get one at a "cheap" price and invest some time and effort it will hold its' value, provide satisfaction while restoring it and many miles of grins after doing so. The 78 in the pic you posted looks like it has good bones and is the last year of the SOHC run.

Re: cb750 or cb360?
This! Pods are NOT good on CB750s. CB750 carbs are just as bad as GL1000s if not worse to remove and work on. Personally, I'd love to get my hands on a CB360. The '79 CB750F that I had was interesting and all, but not my style of riding. Basically a poor handling crotch rocket without a fairing.cbrianroll wrote:I'm leaning towards the 750, forgot it will need the stock airbox back on and rejetted.

Re: cb750 or cb360?
If you were talking about a CB750 that hadn't been molested, I'd recommend it all day. That poor thing's been bobbed, so who knows what else has been done. I don't see any guages either. eBay fork ears, pods, and shocks. Might be a Delkevic 4 into 1, which is nice.
Why are they selling it?

Re: cb750 or cb360?
Interesting turn of events lol. It has been modified and apparently inspected because of whatever was done to it. Thi king it's a 74....thats the motor year...Besides being ugly it's not too bad...updated electronic ignition and wiring, little rust actually. Yes it's been stupefied but that's an easy fix...
My buddy got it in trade...decided it's not his cup of tea...its at my house now...gonna ride it a bit, clean it up and prob flip it. Or get bored and tear it all down, blast it and powder/paint.

The 78 doesn't seem to hold it's value like even a 77. Who knows why. Just like a 76 KZ900 Kawasaki. They don't bring as much as a 75. Who knows why.desertrefugee wrote:What's wrong with the 78? Re: cb750 or cb360?
As a rule of thumb the earlier the SOHC 750 the more market value it seems to have and the prices get stupid if it's a 69 sandcast. I really couldn't care less about resale value, I have a 77 supersport and I LOVE IT. Another thing to consider is parts availability, it's fair to assume that parts are much more available for the sohc 750 than there is for the 360.robin1731 wrote:The 78 doesn't seem to hold it's value like even a 77.
