Hello,

I’m new to the club. I ride a black factory-naked 1981 GL1100. It’s got hard period saddle bags and has collector plates, which means very cheap insurance where I live, just outside of Vancouver, BC. For the first time in my life, I can afford to be insured year round - hallelujah!! Planning on taking her out this coming weekend.

I hope you have a fantastic day,

John

PS This is the first time I’ve ever posted to a forum or club, and I’m no kid 🙂.

Welcome!
In Minnesota there is no break on insurance, but there is a lifetime plate for the vintage machines. It's a bit spendy up front, but I never need to worry if I have new tabs on the plate on that first few beautiful riding days in the springtime.
Goldwings don't accelerate, they gain inertia.

1978 GL1000 - almost stock - needs a head replaced, parts are ready to install!
1979 GL1000 - Winter project/parts bike - custom "Busted"
1983 GL1100 Standard- raised from the dead and back to organ donor status
And the newest acquisition, 1979 XS 650F to be a sidecar tug. crossy.gif
