I lowered my cb750f front end pretty much just like you but I relocated my ignition down behind the carbs. Do you find the handling at higher speeds to be a little twitchy with lowering the front entrance that much? I lowered the front an inch by sliding the tube through the triple trees.

I haven't noticed any handling issues-other than you obviously cant lean it over to far or you will catch the bottom.

Tires are Kenda big blocks.
