Somehow the fender was a tighter squeeze than last mock-up. The sliders definitely need black P.C.,and black gaitors . Disc covers will be blasted and black P.C.

Any chance on painting the bottom for tubes? Could make for a pretty nice look!

Sliders=lower legs, yes,no question,Cody. In fact,it looks unfinished without black legs! The crash bars, belt covers, valve covers are getting that awful chrome blasted off.i found a powder coated just a few miles from my house, but as you know,it's expensive. Engine will be either dark grey or black gloss with wrinkle black covers.the front disc covers will be black as well...some say lose em,but I want it ALL blacked out,and the disc rotors would ruin that. Btw...I have 2 sets of pipes in mind: one is 4 straight pipes with fishtail ends, the other is for car shows only...dragster " zoomie" pipes that come out of the heads and curl up,about 3 ft long. Maybe with flamethrowers.

Rather broke now,so I wired up the tail light, turn signals into a harness. While I was in soldering mode,I did the same for my 74 cb750 tracker...

Long time, no post... I have other projects ive played with, and now back to nightwing. I made a fiberglass seatbase im fairly content with, using the stock front tongue mount. The rear will bolt to the second to last hole on the frame horns. I think thats for the grab handle, which was missing when i bought it. Soooo... The right side had a snapped bolt in it, which i easy-outed. As is common practice for P. O. s, an SAE bolt had been forced in, hence the break. The bore is now slightly flared and wont hold torque. I may need to bore and sleeve it. Oh joy. The left, because it sat without a bolt before i bought it, has just enough surface rust to keep a bolt from turning in. I tried 8x 1.0 and 8x1.25 bolts, nope. Does anyone know the correct pitch? Im sure the left will be ok if i chase it with an appropriate tap.

Has anyone else had this problem, and how did you correct it? I have no lathe to make sleeves on. Its the next to last hole , rear of frame.

It is not a real critical area so if there is enough meat there the easiest way is drill and tap to the next size. Bolt head should mostly be hidden by the seat I think. I know several that do not bolt the seat down at all.
