Bulldog inspiration

I purchased a 1977 Goldwing 3 months ago because of the bulldog. I have owned other bikes in the past but the 77 goldwing has to be the coolest and most eye appealing. This is the first forum ever that I've registered with and hope to learn alot from the members of Naked Goldwings.

What did you do with the "tank"? is that a custom piece? is it functional or a cover like the original? this bike looks great!!!!!
you can tell how good a mechanic is by the size of the hammer he carries

It's cool to see people reviving the somewhat outdated naked goldwing design by just experimenting with different parts and so.
It all keeps the naked spirit alive.
Nice work octane!

What kind of handlebar (drag bar) did you use on the Bulldog Bobber? And do you need a riser?

And I couldn't find a response to a question about your pressure gauge for the oil cap? What kind of gauge is it and where can I get one?

Thanks Wiskerfish. I've looked there before though and couldn't find what I was looking for. Maybe, I'll just post a reply there and see if anyone knows. Thanks.

Looks like 28" dragbars, 1" risers and the oil gauge is more for show than function, but he got it from a distributor in england.
I found the end of the internet

Hey, what's up.
I'm not new to riding (15 years) but I am new to customizing. Bought a 78 goldwing and stripped it down but am really just starting to fool with it. I am hoping to get some feedback on a couple of things.

I love the fat front tire on this beast. What's the simplest and cheapest way I can go about getting this look?

I heard that you could put a rear tire on the front to "fat it up" a little. Is this an OK course of action?

Also for you experienced riders of customs, does fooling around with the stock tires mess with your handleing? I love the look but not as much a I love tight responsivness when taking curves on ,mountain roads.

P.S. Bike is Killer. That's very simular to what I'd like to steer mine to.

Cheers anim-cheers1

Otane, hello sir.. I hoped that you would tell me a few things about your cycle. Im in LOVE with your Bulldog. What type of headlight bracket is that, and where can I get one. What seat, and the same ,where to get. What rims and tires, size? Handle bars? I have a 1979 gl 1000 with 8000 original miles. I found it in Montana, in 2006. hot tanked fuel tank, pulled carbs sent them to Pistol Pete, had him rebuild them. Put a new battery, fuel pump, tires. I have put only about 3000 miles on it so far. I really like the bobber style, Your bike is the hot ticket, dude!!!! The more you could tell me about your bike the better. Thank you Sir. Rick Waggoner. oldiron_rw@yahoo.com
