Hey Russ,

I saw where you modified the lower triple...nice work!...

I'm about to do that on an 83 1100 lower triple before mating it to my 78 1000 frame..

Did you also have to modify the upper triple to work with the stock steering stem opening? (there is a piece of metal welded on near the top of the frame there that looks like it would rub the 1100 upper triple when installed and tightened down..

I used a 1200 t-tree and it did not require any modification on the top. The steering lock also works just fine.

OK Thanks!

Turns out I had to file a bit off the bottom of the top triple clamp of the 1100, so it would't interfere with the steering head.
