@ skydog: I wonder if the windshield might already have had stress cracks. I wouldn't think it would fail so easily, even with wind gusts in the 50 MPH range.

For my day, I was greeted with a leaking water pump on my Ford Escape. As it's our only means of transportation at the moment, I'm soon to be out in the driveway in the freezing rain/sleet changing it out. I'm thinking I should just do a crowd-funding project to build myself a garage!

Yeah. Count yourself lucky - what could have happened if the windshield broke when you rode through the wind blast from an oncoming truck?

Really, really nice here the last couple of days. Nice enough that I kicked the wife's car out of the garage, washed the floor and moved the 'Wing from the shed where it hibernates in the winter :8) :8) :8)

It was recorded a 72 M.P.H. gust! :shock: bike was parked against the wind.If it had been parked into it it probably won't have broke.

... so lets see... if you wre riding at 145 MPH and were hit by a tail wind of 217, it would have broken your windshield? Must be yolu should drive faster.

Good Day Folks;
We had 3" of snow overnight, so much for thoughts of the first ride of the season, UGH !
I was in Ottawa last week and saw this sign, spring IS coming we'll just have to wait ! By the way that fuel price is $1.00 CDN per litre.

Send it on up my way! We're well below average in temps and well above average in snow!

My lake is still solid ice, and the local old timers say they can never remember there still being solid ice in April.
