Kay managed to get the car out to go to church this morning but by the time I looked outside she wouldn't have gotten back in. It hasn't stopped so I just cleared enough for her to get in.
And on the way up the driveway for the final pass the engine started to bog like it was out of gas; When I looked it was half full but the rubber seal under the cap was missing. I couldn't fish it out so I put the heat on in the garage and I get to work on that this afternoon. Fun.

Gents;
We had about 6" on Saturday, then another 8" or so today with a stiff wind to blow it around. I plowed the driveway yesterday and tried to clear it today but with the wind and extra snow I aborted until tomorrow. UGH!

Forecast for Wednesday night is starting to firm up. One model says 10 inches another says 12 inches. 10 is more than enough to close this town for several days. Not much prep I can do. Recent rain tells me I need to recaulk the chimney in the mud room and I should probably fire up the generator for a test run.

Nice 10 or 11 here in Eastern Michigan this morning. Finally got a plow down the road last night so time to get out the lawn tractor and push out the base of the driveway.

I did get to use the blower once this year. I do the neighbourhood driveways and get paid with baked goods - good deal. Had rain the past few days, snow is almost gone. Supposed to warm up, winter is over.

I had to take the tank off to get the cap parts out. That would have been easier if the fuel shutoff worked but it wasn't too hard to siphon it empty; It has a new valve now.
Then I re-assembled the cap with a nut & bolt to keep it from coming apart again until I get a replacement.
All of that took over an hour, then I filled the tank and took it out for a short "test drive" (still too much wind to do it properly).
Back at it this afternoon I widened the driveway out to about 3/4 of its summer width (good enough for mid Feb). The snow banks beside the driveway are now at least 15cm higher than a metre stick
Deep snowbank.JPG

Propane tanks? What propane tanks? I did manage to get the blower to them but it wasn't easy.
What propane tanks.jpg

After that I cleared a path through that drift in front of where the tanks were buried (I should have taken a pic of that) and across our yard so I could open up a space at the bottom of the deck stairs. And on the way back from that I turned and went across the neighbour's yard so that he (& more importantly his little dog) can get out their back door.

By the time I was done the blower's tank was just about empty. I'll have to get more gas soon......

I've been thinking that I need to add a saddle and a twistgrip to the blower because I'm spending more time listening to its engine than to Eccles' :(

Just talked to Brother in Western NY and he was driving to the trailer (his home right now) after work today and the plow berm at the road edge was higher than his truck. He drives a Dodge 2500 4 x 4 on large tires. He had to walk in and get his tractor to clear it enough to get in the driveway. No fun after a full day of working in it.

I remember the one year it was so bad there the Neighbor came down with a bulldozer to break us out. Unfortunately that is what happens when you live on the leeward side of the hill.

Always "warm" in the gulf. Way too much time there. Other than the Gold Souk in Dubai I will be very happy in life if I never see that area again.

Here today is nice and bright. Low 40's for a high. Snow forecast to start tomorrow abut 11 AM. Latest predictions are 8-10 inches plus. Whole town is out buying bread and milk right now lolol lolol lolol lolol

So here is the conundrum: I am in the lounge and locally it is 5pm but at home 8am. So I have the free wine as it is evening or take my morning shower? Heck I am traveling alone and can't smell my own stink!

Okay was a long wait and the lounge included the shower. Clean but maybe still stinky. Young man sets it all up and wipes down every toilet before use. I tipped him. Sort of a gracious American thing to do... at least that is what my mom taught me

I remember one of my sessions "over there" we hit an Air Force R & R center for a few hours. They had Air Conditioning, and showers and TV's and cold drinks!!! They would not even tell us the name of that Base. Almost felt like a human for like 6 hours then it was back on to our Blacked out Busses and back out into the desert to continue tearing helicopters apart.
