Governor has declared a State Of Emergency. Schools and all businesses already closed for tomorrow. Near 50 degrees and sunny right now. It is beautiful outside. I would go for a bike ride but all the road are covered in that pre treatment salt slurry. Gonna walk Dogs while it is nice.

Tried as I might, but with the clean cool air in Michigan, I could not smell you from here so all is good. We even have that bright orb in the sky today, whatever it is called now escapes me.

I do get out on Eccles a few times per week so it's not so much bike withdrawl, just that I'm getting tired of spending an hour or 2 clearing snow ever day.

BTW, I've been feeling a cold coming on for a few days and it hit hard between supper and bedtime yesterday. I'm feeling a wee bit better today but the snow that fell last night will have to wait until tomorrow.

Wife was feeling quite poorly last night, lots of people with colds at her church. This morning she was sick enough that I planned to drive her to wok but then decided she would stay home. A couple hours later a covid test was positive. Myself I woke at 1 AM this morning with a pounding headache. Not much sleep after that. So far it just seems like a lot of sinus pressure.

With this storm we will be locked down for a couple days anyway. Maybe I can use the time and get my Medicare signup and fill out my taxes.

Well after being hyped on the local News for the last week the snow has finally started. Predictions are still for 8-10 plus but it seems like the bullseye they show has moved a bit to the South of the 7 cities area. Morning walks with pups were dry but cold.

Wife felt well enough to walk with me this morning (only like a mile) but that was the end of her energy. After the walks I made her a nice omelet and she crashed out. Other than meals I think she will be bedridden the rest of the day. I am feeling okay except for the headache. About 36 hours of it so far. Sure hope it eases by tomorrow morning when the shoveling starts.

The sun is shining here. I don't think much more fell last night but I don't have to go outside so I'll give my sinuses another day before I go outside.

We are all rooting for Rusty to bounce back in a day or two. Strong woman there.

Rusty is a fair bit better this evening. She normally lives on junk food but I been tending to her today so she has had a couple of "Real" meals and I been pushing the water. She did walk with me this afternoon. Snowing sideways but she was bundled up good. And then after dinner she did come up with some weird concoction in the crock pot for desert. Be another hour or so but she said it would be like a peach cobbler.

Up to 7 or 8 inches on the ground now. Been snowing steady since about noon. Expected to last until midnight and then another chance tomorrow morning. Pretty sure we will have a foot before it is over. 1980 was the last time for 12 inches here. Schools will be closed through the weekend and possibly into next week. First real thaw is Sunday and that will not be enough to make it all go away I don't believe.

Pups are absolutely loving it!!

Just 3/4 inch here but it was enough that Peppers 90 minute commute to Saline MI this morning was 135 minutes. Cannot figure out why people in Michigan cannot drive well in such little snow. Lots of spin-outs.
