Does anyone know if the front turn signals and honda badge from the 82 (??) CB series will bolt on to the front forks of a naked 82 aspy.......??
If so, are they 3 wire 2 filament bulbs... Looking for one setup for both marker's and signals that keeps the lines of the bike as close to OEM as possible.
All comments appreciated............
thanks in advance

rewire done almost
Used the cheap 3 hole aftermarket fork ears, a CB1000 headlight, and found a pair of 3 wire turn signals that bolt on to the aftermarket fork ears. Traced out the wires, blew a fuse, replaced fuse and still need to sort out a bit of a wiring mess.
Problem is, turn signals don't work. I have missed something due to lack of knowledge and experience. What I'm left with is markers that work; however, turn signals do not. What am I missing...........??

sometimes if lights are not grounded properly the markers will work, but not the turn signals... also, make sure you do not have the marker lights hooked up to the brights. another thing to check is to see if you have power to the turn signal wires running from the bike

Orange/white - running lamps
Light blue/white - running lamps.

Wire Stuff
Thanx Dougal,
Wiring info is very helpful, right now I'm riding local with markers only just so I can ride. Weather has been great last couple of days.
Wire colors from the new/used turn signals do not match the honda color code. I will use your wiring info to do another round of investigation and see if I can get them working. Will respond when I have it figured out.
I'd rather be riding........

Grounded
Thanx rcmatt007a
Will double check grounding, as a matter of fact, in all honesty, they are not currently grounded. I have them them running in marker mode with just marker and signal plugged in.
Used ohmeter to figure out which has steady current and which gets current when turn signal switch is turned on. I now know where the main fuse link is, (and have a spare) as well as where my fuse box is and have a spare for each. (yes I blew 3 10amp fuses, markers and low beam)

Finally they work
While the markers worked fine, corrosion, loose bulbs, and bad ground prevented the turn signals from working.
Removed bulbs and found the sockets to be corroded. Cleaned out corrosion and used WD-40, and re-installed bulbs. I found the bulbs do not twist in like automobile sockets, rather they simply push in and a wire strap with two screws pressures the bulb into the socket.
After going through the above excersize I finally ( duh ) twisted the ground wires together and connected them to green. Fired up the bike and tested, finally I have makers and turn signals that work.
Gold wing wiring:
Markers = O/W left
= B/W right
Signals = O left
B right
Green = ground
