Married in 1974, Jan rode side saddle that day 35 years ago from the church and they have been riding every season since. She started out riding a 125 Kaw in 1975, moved up to a Kaw 440 in 1982, then moved up to a Magna 500 in 1984, Magna 700 in 1996 and then the Magna 1100 in 2002.
She loved the outdoors which included motorcycles, loved to travel, they would take weekend trips down into West Virginia and week long trips into the Carolina's, Blue Ridge Parkway, as far east as Bar Harbor Maine and far west as Paducah Ky and as far south as SC and as far north as Canada on his & her motorcycles. She would plot out the trips, and navigate by use of her blinkers so Rowdy would know when and where to turn. She never griped about having too many motorcycles in the garage or the fact that they could not fit a car into the garage !! LOL
She was a Librarian, nanny, mother and a creative house manager - she will be missed.
Dan, a close friend purchased a GL1100 from Rowdy in 1994 so he could ride with the couple on their weekend trips. He was so saddened by the loss he turned his keys over to Rowdy, said he no longer had any interest to ride.
Rowdy on the other hand has been riding every day for the therapy to clear his head.
Jan will be missed by her son Colton, her husband Rowdy and close friends and family. She was the 4th child from a family of 11 kids, born in Upshur County West Virginia and that is where she wants her ashes to be returned.
