that is the kind of detail many will miss but will set the bike apart from others.

btw, i really like the yellow on the valve covers. it makes the emblems really pop

To paint the valve covers, I first polished them. Then sanded between the fins. I then masked off the area outside of the fins, and painted the middle band with a spray gun. After letting the paint set up for about 4 hours, I then took a fine rag soaked in reducer and wiped the paint off of the fins. Finally after a full dry, I polished the fins with a paper towel. Using the reduced to remove the paint gave the edges a "feathered" look and was easier than trying to mask them off.

Hi sunnbobb,
my name is Franko and I am from Germany near Hanover. I'm building just a very similar Honda GL 1000 Bobber. Lars Nilson Octane Buldog Bobber is also my role model. For me, there will be some changes.

And yes....you makes a very very awesome job on your bike.....

Here my project in our Honda Forum.

.....i don´t may my link here, sorry

Why tell I thees all.....i have seen you Exorzist searches the exhaust. There were the years ago here in Germany at Louis. I have a little after this exhaust in the good old Germany searched. and I found a used. I don't know whether the quality is sufficient you. It is also a package into the quite expensive from here to send United States. I had sent the last weeks Randakk something.. the two exhaust systems will cost so 60.-€ and I think porto so 50..-€ I know but still unsure. You are interestet ?

and sorry for my bad english...

Franko
