I have seen this on here somewhere, but the question is if the rear swinging arm and Final drive is interchangeable with a GL1000 ? I have been told that the 1100 will fit and it is a bit longer so would push the rear wheel back a bit, this was generated from the possibility of fitting a rather good priced complete exhaust including headers. I can get a 1200 drive shaft with it too. This would in effect stretch the bike a little couple of inches? I don't have spoked wheels they are a sort of alloy steel material spoked? I have quite good engineering skills, have been through a Classic Car resto course for Mig welding and fabrication course for my pleasure also. Would this marry up to the frame/engine. Extending the brake lines wouldn't be a big problem but the brake caliper may well be ?
So in general if possible good idea or ditch it.

final drive is different, shocks mounts different, and on and on. If you want you can do.... but not a bolt up deal...

OKay thats stopped that then. think I am going to stay with just what I got 1000 and just restore her and a bit of small custom on the side. Thansk for that though puts my mind at rest.Goodnight it 01:05 in the morning here so time for bed.Oldewing wrote:final drive is different, shocks mounts different, and on and on.
