Nice to hear the trip went well.
I have a 4 banger, but the 1800 is by far a superior machine. The 1500 is kind of a1 trick pony but that one trick is slammin' miles on the slab and they are very, very good at it. Instead of GL1500 they could have called them "Electra 225".
If I'm on the highway the cruise is on. As Dean says, the pull cable off the cruise solenoid is adjustable. The 1800 was way off when new but it only took a couple minutes to dial it in.

I think I might have disturbed the cable length when I removed and reinstalled the carbs. I'll dial it in.
