Posting on line is never the same as talking one on one. We have all been mis understood at one time or another. After you get a couple a thousand posts under your belt, we will all better understand your writing style. Some times the use of the little icons can help. All is good. And you should never be afraid to say what you want, for fear of being taken wrong. All is good lolol lolol lolol action1 action1 anim-cheers1 anim-cheers1 dancr dancr

^^^^^^^^^^^ This is true. It also works both ways. A response can be taken a little more harsh that it was intended.

No crisis.

A replacement GL1000 Plenum Gasket for the erroneously packed GL1100 Plenum Gasket is already out the door. That makes 2 such mistakes in 12+ years. There will probably be more! :)

Everyone have a great weekend.

See how good this guy is? I honestly was just going to forget about it because it wasn't a big deal, but he has already sent one out to me based on this great thread! Thanks Randakk.
Now, why didn't I get any of the kool-aid with MY carb kit?
(more jokes... anim-cheers1)

OK, back to the MOTORCYCLE. crossy.gif

I fired it up and ran it for about 10 minutes. It ran beautifully, until it started to sputter and blow white smoke out of the left side exhaust. Head gasket time!
I also found out it has an electronic ignition. Sweet!

:-? I don't see any moderating going on at all. Let alone overly so. Just responses to a post. I would hope moderators can have an opinion on a post. I have no problem or beef with hoggster.

Now that we have finally closed on our first home dancr I can continue on with my Goldwing. I got the belts and the offending head off. <= That was fun.
Today I will be popping the other head off and cleaning everything. Thankfully everything look pretty decent. The head are carbon-coated, of course. Since the carbs are out again I can install the new plenum gasket from Randakk's Cycle Shakk! He also sent me a cool little key chain. The next update will have photos, I promise.

I had a '75 (very briefly) with the same type of lugs, just as badly welded as yours, with a California Sidecar attached in the same positions, so I'm pretty sure that is what they are.
