Congratulations on Bike of the Month! Very impressive. The day the music died was exactly one year before I was born. What a fitting tribute cleverly presented on such a fitting day.

Beautiful bike man. Hey, where'd you get the seat and how did you mount it? I kind of like that style.

Nice job of customization!! Missed the build till now. anim-cheers1 Been thinking of a bobber type scooter, starting with 1100 frame & TITLE, as fake gas tank is separate from the fairing, unlike 1200's. Complete 1200 front end, 1200 motor, rear end swing arm back complete, all 1200 parts, should all plug & play, & have all the parts to do this, except for a 1200 rear wheel & disk. May need to modify rear, as all I have is rear wheel off a 1500, with brake mount that needs a little trimming to work. Have 1200 & 1500, drive units, so drill the mount holes if 1200 drive unit wont work with 1500 wheel, have 5 & 6 pin drives for both rear ends, so if a 1200 rear wheel is found, every thing will match up, so to speak. What I'm going for, is as close to a standard 84 as possible for a base place to start, as 1200 standards were the best basic scooter they ever built, I M H O. But if cant find a 1200 wheel, the 1500 one may a better choice, after necessary tweaks. Its a taller wheel, so a small gain in top end & a DOUBLE bearing on drive side much stronger, just don't match front wheel.

FYI, an 1100 fake tank cover can be made to fit a 1200.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

Love what you did! What bike is that seat from? And, how did you mount it to the frame?
