Every year there's a vintage motorcycle meet in Waseon, OH (northeast OH). This year it's happening July 17th-19th.
To anyone who hasn't been there before- I HIGHLY recommend attending. There are vendors, and more classic motorcycles than you can shake a stick at. It really caters to the 1910-1920 crowd, so there is some AMAZING stuff there. Lots of vendors, and flat track racing as well.
To anybody to hit the Gilmore show, there's usually about 3-4 times the amount of stuff then there was at Gilmore this year. It's hosted at the Waseon Fairgrounds, and they fill every bit of it. I forget how many acres it it exactly, but it's definitely "several".
I plan on being there all day Saturday and Sunday. One day I'll probably bring the 'wing, the other the truck with the CT90. I would love to see some NGW members there because, let me tell you, it it TOTALLY worth it.
Almost forgot- it's FREE! (Parking is 5 bucks, but they do have a separate area for motorcycle parking. Half the time, that's worth the price of admission right there!)

Just an update that this event is going to be this weekend, Friday-Sunday.
Still waiting on a clutch cable to determine if I ride there or not, but I'm certain to be there, probably all 3 days. It's definitely worth checking out.

Re: Waseon OH Vintage Motorcycle Meet (July 17-19)
Well, Wauseson turned into a bit of a wash. I got there pretty early, but temperatures skyrocketed up to the mid 90's fairly quickly. I managed to get a few photos, but these were all literally from the first hour or two, and just some random stuff that caught my eye.
(I always love the old BMWs, and this one was crazy-clean.)
(1919, I think? For sale, too...)
(Hey, Robin- this was the bike I was telling you about)
I couldn't get a full photo of the even grounds, as it's too spread out. But just to give you an idea of the size of this thing, here's the motorcycle parking.
I may go back tomorrow. I still have a sticker, so I won't have to pay for parking again. But they're calling for thunderstorms, so who knows.
I'm kind of ticked I'm broke (again- had to get my truck "fixed", which it still isn't...), because there was a LOT of cool stuff there. Lots of stuff with prices that were way too high, but there were a couple deals, too.
In all honestly, I was out of there in a couple hours. I spent the rest of the day riding, and I'm happy to say I got over 150 miles in, maybe 200. Pretty happy about that.

Nice pics.
Surprised to see a Norton Electra (the one with the orange tank)! They are rare, like super rare. They were the 400cc version of the Navigator, fitted with an electric start, which didn't most of the time.

Re: Waseon OH Vintage Motorcycle Meet (July 17-19)
There's usually a LOT of cool stuff there, and I saw license plates from all over the USA. That being said, it's a lot less "Bike Show" than it is "Swap Meet". I guess they had a judged show of sorts later in the day, and most of the first photos are from a group ride that was taken through Wauseson itself in the morning (the show is at the fairgrounds), but the vendors are the biggest draw.
Well, there's the flat-track races on Friday as well. I heard they were really good. I missed them (again) this year because I'm really, REALLY broke. Between a busted truck and a 1200 paint job, I'm scraping bottom of the barrel as it is.

Cool pics!
Love the little Batavus moped. I had a red one, except mine had the motorcycle-style gas tank. Thought I was the coolest 13yr old around!

Great to keep these old 'Wings flying on down the road.
