My GL1000 K1 is 100% complete now and runs (11.000 mls on the odo) "as new"............

This has to be the most pristine 'Wing on the planet - it is quite astonishing.
I always wished I could see what a GL1000 really looked like when new - now I know :-D

By the way, I see there is a bolt on your stator cover, is that to lube your starter clutch ?

Yes indeed, it is a preventive mod to prevent evt. starter clutch squeal or sticking......

Masterful job indeed! It has to be the cleanest GL 1000 on the planet!
I think it's fair to say you took every piece apart on the bike, then put it all back together....quite ambitious!

Towing my K1 backwards into my small garage (with a x-percent entrance-slope) with an electric (250/500 lbs) hobby-winch..............Image

....enabling me to remove my Lotus without the additional trouble of (re)moving the Goldwing each time..........
with a comfortable, relaxed speed of 8:2= 4 mtr./ min..........sitting on the bike, my feet on each side of the bike on the floor .......

-) Wenn I am out with my K1, I never leave it alome, I keep eyesight.......
-) Herewith a full picture of my '90 Lotus Esprit Turbo SE, which as a 2nd owner I have since 1993........and still is 100% original and in pristine condition.........I am very happy with this iconic car......
