The vented rotors are the difference. The calipers and/or brackets are different to allow for the extra width of the rotor. Basically, the '82 is a stand alone year as far as the brakes go, due to the change to dual piston calipers, then the change to linked brakes in '83.

1100 Standard and Interstate brakes (as far as I know, lol!)

'80-81, everything's the same.

'82, dual piston calipers, new style rotor (disc), different master cylinder both front and rear, new mounting brackets (that will fit the '80-81 forks), and different sized wheels.

'83, linked brakes, dual piston calipers, but front are right/left specific due to linked caliper pistons being smaller diameter, both masters are different yet again, front forks are different due to anti-dive system.

I'm not that familiar with the Aspencade differences from '82 to '83, but I assume there are similar differences due to the linked brakes and anti-dive.

DISCLAIMER! Honda has been known to 'use up' old parts from one year to the next. I've seen more than one '80-81 front master cylinder installed on an '82. The quickest way to tell them apart is the early ones had four screws on the cover, later had two. Also, this list is based on my own experiences, and should not be considered definitive!

speaking of using up old parts.... in 88 they were discounting new 1200's as they had gone to the 1500. That is when we bought our NEW 86. When I painted it, there were multiple paint schemes under the factory wineberry the bike had when I bought it new.

I have an '82, but am using '81 front and rear master cylinders with no issues. I do have the dual calipers front and back. As far as the rear, the '82 and '81 differ in that the axle washer/spacers are different.

I recently sent my old rotors to True Disk in Michigan to have them ground and drilled. It's a lot less expensive than buying new rotors.
