I'm getting soft

#1

Post by salukispeed »

I have to admit I have gotten soft this year. I enjoy riding the old interstate most every day even when 37 deg in the AM. But this year I got a Hotwired Heated vest for my Birthday and have heated glove liners from CycleGear. Travel 35 miles each way and nice and comfortable. Funny looks from the cagers as We travel down the interstate. One lady asked me if I was crazy. I said Probably!!. I hope to keep riding till the chance of freezing roads put me off but will go forth in comfort. The charging system copes fine with the extra load and It is mostly highway miles at 65-70 MPH. The vest allowed me to keep my armored jacket and a sweat shirt instead of my bulkier Carhart stuff.

Got stuck going through the mountains in NY state at night once and was FREEZING. Both bikes are wired for my heated vest now. Hardly ever use it, but I can whenever. The vest is thin and light, almost not there. Easy way to charge the battery as well from the connection to the vest.
