Throttle cable routing

Pic shows where my cables run at present. Looks like running them to the left of the coil pack would be better, thenback along the left side of the plenum. Does that make sense?

that's the normal routing
1978 custom GL1000
1977 custom with 1200 engine
1985 gl1200

NO it goes on the 2/4 side...inside the frame but I put on the outside so it's easier to pull the carbs..at least while I am puttering when I am sure it's all good I put them back inside the frame..
