Before I put the bike all back together AGAIN, should you be able to move the water pump impeller by hand on a 1100? Sure I asked this a long time ago, but just checking.

Water pump installed in it's home on front cover, bolted on. Then no, you should not be able to turn it, as it's shaft is inserted into the oil pump drive. You check for a bad pump, if the impeller blade "wobble" it's bad. Should be tight.
