Handle Bar Grips

I am sure there is an answer somewhere in the forum, but so far I haven't found it.
My question to the group is "what model grips interchange?", I have a 78 and am just wondering about the options from a later model Goldwing, and maybe the grips from a 1100 or 1200 are no better, not like I dislike the ones I have, they seem to be the stock grips from 78, and pretty worn.
I put foam covers on them, but that almost makes them too fat for my stubby fingers in winter gloves.

Any 7/8 inch grip that is 6 inches long should work. Most common after market grips are only 5 inch so measure the length of yours for reference.

Check Randakk site as he has some great grips that fit perfectly.

Thanks JD, I hate my fat foam grips too. Bought them cause I thought they would look cool, but even though I have a fat paw with long fingers the grips are too fat for my comfort.

I've got these, they're really comfortable. I use to have them on some cafe bars that I use to have, those bars would kill my hands. After I put these grips on my hands wouldn't get tingly. I can't recommend the cafe bars but I can recommend the grips.

Those cafe bars must be for sadist.

I'm on my second, and probably last set of OEM Honda grips on my 81. They're nice and comfortable, and I like them except for one thing..... They wear quickly and the rubber starts to check & crack after a year. The first set I got, I thought maybe they were old stock. Second set, it starts to feel like it's just the way they are.
Next set will be Randakk's...

On a side note, I just replaced the clutch and throttle cable with new Honda cables, and the PO had bent the part where the cable attaches to the lifting arm, kind of had me going for a while, thought the end of the cable was just stuck from corrosion, which there was very little of. I guess this would prevent the cable from disconnecting itself?
I don't know......

If you're in colder weather, you can't beat cozy heated grips. Oxford makes some for $89. Has a slick control panel, and auto shut off if you leave them on and walk away.

+5 on Randakk grips. I have them on the 750 and the 1000. At first I thought they'd be too small a diameter and would be a tough thing to grip. Au contraire. The rubber is soft and 'sticky'. They're the best grips I've ever used. Very comfortable.
