I didn't read back through all of westgl's posts here or on the other sites, so I could be wrong, but I think he bought the hoses at NAPA Auto Parts. You can check their online site, or just try a google search and see what you can find.

I used PVC plumbing pipe for my "prototype" manifold, and it was working pretty well until my solenoid went out and fried the starter. I haven't had the time/money/ambition to put it all back together again, but maybe this year. . .

Buy it outright as is? From someone that has done it before, otherwise you need to build it. There are intakes out there that will cut down drastically on the build aspect as well.

I bought the carb years ago as well as the VW manifold part (no hoses though) but never ended up even mounting any of it.
PM me if you're interested in it.

If he doesn’t have the Weber 2 into 1 adapter, I have one I’d part with. I have two actually.
Whatever I suggest here should be given ample time for a moderator to delicately correct. I apologize in advance.

I sent you a message.
Never got around to mounting it.
Never got around to the majority of the project of that bike really.
Sent you some pics and info. I have the carb, filter, and aluminum manifold but you'll still need to source/make runners.

Hi WestGL!
I have a Weber 28/36 DCD on my GL1000, very similar to Your carb, but not symmetrical.
It now has a 23 and a 27 choke.
According to my old weber tuning manual, the 27 secondary should be perfect for this engine.
But it says the primary should be 19mm, If I read all the tables and diagrams right.
This would explain my rough idle. I was now able to grab a rare 19mm primary choke and the matching jets, and will test this combination as soon as I am back from hospital.

Have installed the 19mm primary choke together with a 110 primary main jet. Runs a bit lean according to my butt sensor so I will try 115.
