Weber question

This is where discussions of EFI systems, Dual Carbs, Single Carb mods and plans can be discussed and shared.

If you are working on or have a problem with stock carbs then your questions do not belong here, please post them in the Goldwing Tech Discussions Forum.

Weber question

#1

Post by Rat »

A new member PMd me with this question .... someone playing a cruel joke 😎 ...
Of all the people on this forum to ask ... I’d be second last ...
Someone must know less ... surely ...
Anyway, one of you guys who actually knows something, please help ...

hello my name is Steve. I am new to this forum. Someone here referred you to me. I am installing dual Weber 40idf carburetors on my gl1100 and was wondering if you would be able to help me with a starting point on the jetting and air correctors and emulsion tubes. I will probably run velocity stacks and my exhaust is a set of jardines that were shortened up a little and have just one baffle.
Thank you for any help that you might have to offer, Steve

I think I remember that the stock jetting of the 40 IDF 70 is very close to what You need.
Stock jetting data should be available from some Weber websites, I hope.
